1) Short-term development plan

※ The Department of Plant Medicine at Chungbuk National University, through the analysis of the department's current curriculum, has originality and competitiveness, and reorganizes the curriculum to meet social needs.
• Curriculum Reorganization: Establishment of a major track system for specialized fields, and expansion of major accredited courses through the consolidation and abolition of similar courses
• Customized courses: Discovery and establishment of specialized courses that reflect the needs of national institutions and industries

※ Internal and external changes in the department to increase member satisfaction
• Maximizing the efficient use of space through the maintenance of common facilities within the department
• Provision of space for students through the reorganization of the student council room
• Department homepage reorganization: instilling self-esteem of members and use for education and research by building a sophisticated department homepage in line with the changing times

※ Reinforcement of promotion for attracting excellent freshmen 
• Expansion of introductory materials of the department through the website
• Active participation in special activities for elementary, middle, and high school 
• Reinforcement of department publicity through students

 

2) Mid- to the long-term development plan

​※ Through comparative analysis with similar departments of other universities in Korea, the department establishes its own unique curriculum and provides customized education for talent. 
• Comparative analysis of department status and student members: laying the foundation for mid-term development plans by analyzing the present and future of the members, such as curriculum, employment rate, and desired career path
• Tailored talent: Promoting the establishment of a specialized curriculum that reflects the wishes of student members and the needs of department-related institutions in society
• Aiming to develop into a department that students want, students do not regret choosing, and society demand
